Set in a world of singing puppets, Gutter Soup is a film that looks to bring awareness to the resurgence in antisemitism and fascism in our world by looking at the consequences of forgetting and trivializing history. When a rise in “Nazi Chic fashion” has created a resurgence in the use of the swastika, this project humorously examines how the upper-class and those with social influence control what is considered fashionable and on-trend, and how that trickles down to impact the poor. All references to Nazism are purely satiric, and serve as a voice to remind everyone of the dangers of repeating history.
